The Pittsburgh Steelers could benefit from a trade with the Jets. After the New York Jets removed Davante Adams from the trading block, attention has shifted to another Jets wideout, Denzel Mims.
Mims hasn’t practiced recently due to “personal reasons,” suggesting his time in New York may be ending. Coming off a rough season in which he struggled for playing time, Mims could still bring value to a team looking for depth.
ESPN’s Bill Barnwell notes that trading for Mims could be advantageous for both sides, with the Steelers possibly sending a 2025 seventh-round pick in exchange. With a low salary of about $837,000 for the rest of the season, he could be an appealing target for Pittsburgh, which was previously linked to acquiring other wide receivers.
The Steelers’ ongoing search for external talent has intensified with recent injuries in their receiving corps, making a deal for Mims increasingly relevant as they aim to bolster their roster.
