The Los Angeles Lakers faced a tough loss against the Golden State Warriors yesterday, but the game could be a turning point for Bronny James, who had his best performance in a Lakers uniform.
Bronny finished with 17 points (7 of 17 shooting), 4 rebounds, and 3 steals over 35 minutes: “I felt great playing without overthinking.”
To put his performance into perspective, in the previous five preseason games, he had totaled just 8 points (4 of 20 shooting and 0 of 7 from three-point range) while committing 5 turnovers.
Coach JJ Reddick expressed confidence in Bronny and the younger players: “Every moment is a building block. Bad moments serve as learning opportunities.
We need patience and optimism. I believe in their work ethic.” Reddick added, “I’m sure it felt good for him to score 17 points. I’m not worried about it; our focus is on helping him develop into a great player.”
