Head coach Steve Kerr expressed concern over the injury sustained by Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry during their 112-104 loss to the LA Clippers. Curry, 36, initially limped off the court in the third quarter due to a twisted ankle, receiving treatment before attempting to return.

However, he aggravated the injury just four minutes into the fourth quarter and needed assistance from teammate Gary Payton to leave the game.

“He’s doing OK. He used the word ‘mild’ or ‘moderate’,” Kerr noted, adding that Curry has experienced similar injuries in the past and doesn’t believe it’s severe. Still, it remains a concern for the team. In the game, Curry managed to score 18 points, marking the Warriors’ first loss of the NBA season.

On the opposing side, Ivica Zubac and James Harden led the Clippers with 23 points each, while Zubac recorded his second consecutive double-double, contributing 17 rebounds and six assists. Kerr remarked, “Every time they needed a bucket, they seemed to get one from Zubac.”

In other NBA action, the Boston Celtics defeated the Detroit Pistons 124-118, while the Houston Rockets fell short against the San Antonio Spurs, losing 109-106.

The Miami Heat celebrated the unveiling of a statue honoring franchise legend Dwyane Wade, who is Miami’s all-time leading scorer and played a crucial role in the team’s three NBA Championships.
